So we come to the most over rated day of the year, New Year’s Eve. Tomorrow is another year and so we thought it would be nice to look back on what 2011 held for Timm Cleasby Photography. Timm and I have had a great year and we hope 2012 will kick arse too…
Hope you enjoy looking through our 2011 diary
Love Timm and Sam x

January 2011
January didn’t start well for us. I was admitted to hospital for IBD and then caught what they thought was Swine flu while i was there. I ended up on the Swine Flu ward for an extra 4 days, the kids were not allowed to visit and when Timm came to see me, we both had to wear masks. Timm, my mum, sister and brother in law, Lisa and Andy kept my spirits up though and thoughtfully took photographs to mock me with…

Timm also did a fab pre wedding shoot in Graves Park, Sheffield and was busy looking after me and the kids and was in the process of building our awesome photo booth.
February 2011
February brought a lot of meetings with our wedding couples for the summer, stone balancing and planning with Responsible Fishing, and a lifestyle portrait at Hodsock Priory with the gorgeous Henry and Kitty.

March 2011
March was time for the first Responsible Fishing Presents… Timm and Jim created a book toppling event called Knock on Effect

Timm also did a lot of commercial work for Lite Structures and Wilkinsons in March and we both did a great shoot with young model Alice, this was the first shoot Timm and I worked on together and when we realised we work really well together as a team.

April 2011
April was busy with three weddings, three pre wedding shoots and the royal wedding of the year, William and Kate, unfortunately we weren’t chosen to shoot that wedding, though we did shoot the Anston Park Infant School Royal Wedding![]()

May 2011
May was a great month for us, we had three pre wedding shoots, one wedding and a LOT of commercial work with Wilkinsons and Lite Structures. We also shot the Anston Park Junior School class photographs and went camping with friends.

June 2011
June brought Timm’s sister Nancy’s wedding to Steve. I think it was the most nervous I have ever seen Timm!! It was a really special day for us all, our daughter Ellie was a bridesmaid and we all had a fantastic day. Timm and Nancy lost their mum some years back, her favourite flower was the poppy, so they photographed the couple in a huge field of poppies, the results were beautiful and made for a really emotional shot.

We also shot another two weddings, two more pre wedding shoots and it was my big 3-0!! We had a fancy dress party at The Great Gatsby in Sheffield with the booth and a lot of fun.
The photo booth came out a few times in June for weddings and birthday parties and was a massive hit with everyone.

July 2011
July was MANIC!!! We had three weddings, a pre wedding shoot, stone balancing with Responsible Fishing at Sheffield Childrens Festival and Latitude Festival, a lot of commercial work for Wilkinsons AND Tramlines. Timm is the Production Director of Tramlines so was super busy and Nokia hired our photo booth for their Nokia Unannounced Tent in Sheffield City centre so I was manning the booth.
A mad, mad month but a lot of fun!![]()

August 2011
Phew! August!!! SIX weddings, two pre wedding shoots, Responsible Fishing went to Wilderness Festival, we went on holiday to Norfolk, had a RF exhibition at Swinton Lock, lots of meetings and I did my annual trip to Leeds Festival where I provide massage and holistic treatments for artists and guests…

September 2011
Timm became one of four approved photographers for Barnsley Council and so spent some time in September photographing venues and events for them. He also shot three weddings and an album art work for band Red, White and Blues. Responsible Fishing were off out again at the Wirksworth Festival and Kendal Mint Fest.

Timm also worked with graphic designer Caroline Hayes on some commercial/art work for Kostal. You can see some of their work here.
October 2011
October brought a LOT of editing, album making and catching up with all the weddings of the summer. We also shot the Anston Park Junior School Individual pupil photographs along with some family shots.
We had two more weddings, more work for Barnsley Council, more stone balancing with the RF chaps and Timm started managing a Sheffield band – Dead Sons. Busy, busy, busy…

Timm did a photo shoot with Dead Sons…

November 2011
Starting to quiet down on the photography front, in November we had one pre wedding shoot. Also quite a bit of work for Barnsley Council, work with Dead Sons and a new event from Responsible Fishing. The chaps presented Solar Flares at Cannon Hall in Barnsley.

Timm also did a photo shoot for The Darkness in November at Sheffield O2 Academy.

December 2011
And so we come to the end of the year. December saw our last two weddings of the year. Timm shot 23 weddings this year and they were all so special. Thank you to those 23 wonderful couples for inviting us into your amazing days. It is a real honour to be part of something so special, for Timm to get to know you at your pre wedding shoots then to photograph you from getting ready on your wedding day all the way through to your first dance, then for us to go through the photographs, choose and edit them through to creating your albums, it’s amazing. We always say that the day that a wedding doesn’t touch our hearts and make us emotional is the day we stop photographing weddings.
We have had an amazing year and have so many plans for next year!!
So Happy New Year to you all!!

Love Timm and Sam
