The School of Rock n Roll Bride – blogging workshop – *Updated*

Tomorrow I am going back to school!  Well actually Im attending the latest School of Rock n Roll Bride workshops, run by Rock n Roll Bride on how to improve and craft your blog.

You can read more about what the workshop is about here but includes knowing what to blog about and finding inspiration, leveraging social media, how to make money from your blog and branding.

As you may or may not know I write to majority of our blog and it is becoming a more and more popular part of our site.  Im hoping this workshop will inspire me and help me to improve.

Rock and Roll Bride were included in our piece on Inspirations so Im super excited to meet Kat and think I’ll get a lot from the day.

Ill update later in the week and let you know how it went.

Well it went marvellously!  I ended up being a few minutes late and had to walk into a room full of women (and Gareth!) which was a little scary but everyone was really lovely.  Kat looked awesome in a Barbie necklace and pretty pink hair.

The course was interesting and really inspiring.  Quite simple advice but things you easily forget…

“Have something to say and an original way to say it”

“Have a clear identity, show your personality”

“Get off the computer and be inspired by other things”

Also learnt tons more about scheduling, setting goals, branding, advertising and so much more.

I found the day really helpful and Im brimming with ideas now.  I think one of the great things about the day was after the workshop we went out for dinner and drinks and I got to talk to loads of really inspirational and interesting women both in and out of the wedding industry.

It was totally worth the time and money, Im feeling super inspired and can’t wait to crack on with improving our blog and our business.

Thanks Kat!
